From industrial coating to cutting edge technology
AERO needed to convince a design-led automotive audience that a material coating could be genuinely cutting-edge — not just described as innovative, but shown behaving that way. We built a suite of Lottie animations that treat the product's molecular structure as the source material for movement: icons that embody the brand idea 'engineered from the molecule up'. To achieve this, we created 2.5D icons that appeared three dimensional when viewed, but are constructed entirely of two dimensional shapes. The result – custom animations as smooth as the material itself, built for web from the ground up.
An amorphous mesh that behaves like the material itself
The text mesh is designed to represent the highly sophisticated material technology that makes AERO unique. In motion, it takes the form of the planet, a paint drop and even car wraps.
